Lotto Max Casino App download: get the official app instead
No lottery publishes an app called "Lotto Max Casino". The apps that really sell LOTTO MAX, and in most provinces run a regulated casino in the same account, come from your provincial lottery. Here is each one, with the exact publisher name to look for.

Can you download a "Lotto Max Casino" app?
Not under that name. LOTTO MAX is Canada's national lottery, coordinated by the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation for the five regional lottery corporations. Search either store and you'll find official lottery apps, unofficial checkers and lookalikes, but nothing called "Lotto Max Casino".
The reason is legal: under section 207(1)(a) of the Criminal Code, only a provincial government may conduct and manage lottery schemes, casino games included. So your ticket and the casino next to it come from the same provincial corporation, in one app or two.

OLG Lottery & Online Casino: LOTTO MAX and a casino in one app
The closest thing Canada has to a "Lotto Max casino app". Buy LOTTO MAX, scan and check lottery, INSTANTS and PROLINE tickets, then switch to slots, tables and live casino; the listing names Wheel of Fortune, Cleopatra and blackjack. Jackpot reminders and 24/7 player support are included.
The listing's "Ontario's only legal gaming app" is marketing: since 4 April 2022, private operators registered with the AGCO and contracted with iGaming Ontario are legal too. On Google Play it's "OLG Lottery & Casino"; betting is a separate app, OLG PROLINE SportsBook Betting.

Loto-Québec: the province's only legal lottery and casino app
The oldest app here. Buy LOTTO MAX and winnings go into your account; scan retail tickets to re-check them, a feature reviewers praise. The casino has slots, roulette, blackjack, table and instant games, and in-app purchases enter the 2nd Chance Promotion.
Its listing claims "the only 100% legal app in Québec to offer lottery and casino games", and this time that matches the law. You must be 18+ and a Québec resident; some features need a lotoquebec.com account. Betting is a separate app, Mise-o-jeu+.

The listing calls ALC "Atlantic Canada's only government regulated lottery and gaming provider" and says 100% of profits stay in the region. Everything is 19+, with a My ALC account.

Play Alberta Casino & Sports: casino first, LOTTO MAX results inside
The newest app here is built around casino and sports: slots, blackjack, baccarat, roulette, game shows, live dealers and sports betting, plus instant games such as Big Crush Multiplier and Instant Keno.
For LOTTO MAX the app shows results, and WCLC names PlayAlberta as the place to buy online. You must be 18+ and located in Alberta. Since 13 July 2026 the province also has a regulated private iGaming market under AGLC and the Alberta iGaming Corporation.

Lotto Spot!: the West's LOTTO MAX app, with no casino
No casino, but LOTTO MAX across three provinces and parts of two territories: the listing says residents of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and select Yukon and NWT locations can buy Lotto Max, 6/49, Daily Grand, Western Max and Western 649 in-app. It also makes retail QR codes and checks tickets from 5 am to 4 am CT.
It's 18+, through a WCLC-region account. The add-on is EXTRA ($250,000 top prize, per WCLC).

PlayNow in BC, Manitoba and Saskatchewan: a website first, plus a slots app
PlayNow.com is run by BCLC in BC, by Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries in Manitoba and, since 3 November 2022, by SIGA (Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority) on BCLC's platform in Saskatchewan. One account covers lottery and casino.
Lottery app, casino site, slots app
Buy LOTTO MAX in BCLC Lotto! or on PlayNow.com. For casino on a phone, BCLC publishes PlayNow Slots: Online Casino ("PlayNow Casino (Official)" on Google Play): 2.31 stars from 29 ratings, and 13 of its 17 written reviews give one star, citing bonus wagering and low wins.
PlayNow.com for both
WCLC says Manitobans buy LOTTO MAX online on PlayNow, which also hosts the casino. Lotto Spot! is the other phone option.
Lotto Spot! plus PlayNow
LOTTO MAX comes through Lotto Spot!. Casino and sports betting are on PlayNow.com, run by SIGA.
In the territories no lottery runs an online casino. LOTTO MAX is sold at Lotto Spot retailers, plus in-app at select Yukon and NWT locations; elsewhere, plan on a retailer.
How to download a lottery app safely
Lookalikes count on you searching a name instead of starting from the lottery. Five checks, one minute.
-
1
Start from the lottery's website
Open olg.ca, lotoquebec.com, alc.ca, playnow.com, playalberta.ca or wclc.com and follow its store link. Searching "Lotto Max casino" surfaces spam planted on hijacked university and government sites.
-
2
Read the publisher line
The publisher under the app name must be the lottery body, spelled as in our table. Any other name, however official the logo, means a different app.
-
3
Never sideload an APK
If a "Lotto Max Casino" site offers an Android file to install, close it. An APK from a website bypasses Google Play, nothing ties it to a lottery, and a convincing fake is an easy way to steal a password or card number.
-
4
Allow location, and know why
You must be physically in the province to buy or play online, so the app checks where your phone is. Keep location on; a VPN can fail the check. The camera is for the ticket scanner.
-
5
Update through the store only
Take updates from the store, never from a link in an email or text. If one breaks something, you're not alone: "since the update" appears in 20 of Lotto Spot!'s last 100 reviews.
The unofficial "Lotto Max" app: fine for results, useless for tickets
Search "Lotto Max" in the App Store and you'll meet an app with exactly that name, published by Polus Ventures Limited since 12 February 2013 (4.59 stars from 7,217 ratings). It can't sell a ticket or pay a prize, and one recent review is titled "NOT The official lotto App".
Skip anything that claims to predict numbers, like the "AI driven numbers generator" promised by "Lotto MAX - Stats & Checker" (Jackpot Warehouse Limited). Draws are random: every $6 play has the same 1 in 33,446,140 jackpot odds. More on our Is it legit? page.

What to do after installing
-
1
Use the right account
OLG.ca (one login for app and site), lotoquebec.com, My ALC, PlayNow.com, Play Alberta, or a WCLC-region account in Lotto Spot!.
-
2
Pass the ID check early
Reviews mention document checks and slow set-up, so verify well before draw night.
-
3
Test your location
"Can't confirm my location" is a familiar complaint. Turn on location services for the app and update it; our login help covers the other fixes.
-
4
Set limits before depositing
Use your app's tools, such as Atlantic Lottery's PlayWise or Play Alberta's GameSense.
Never type your lottery password into any other site, including this one. This site has no login.
Installed, verified, limits set?

Download questions, answered
Where can I download the Lotto Max Casino app?
Nowhere: no lottery publishes an app by that name. Get your province's official app from OLG, Loto-Québec, Atlantic Lottery, BCLC (with PlayNow for casino), Play Alberta or Lotto Spot!. In Ontario, Québec and Atlantic Canada one app sells LOTTO MAX and runs the casino.
Why does a lottery app need my location?
Because you may only buy or play online while physically in the province. With location services off, or a VPN on, the check can fail.
Is it safe to install a Lotto Max APK from a website?
No. Install from Google Play or the App Store, ideally via your lottery's own website. An APK from a "Lotto Max Casino" page doesn't come from a lottery, and you'd be handing an unknown app your login and payment details.
Is the "Lotto Max" app by Polus Ventures official?
No. It's an unofficial results app with a manual ticket checker. It can't sell tickets or pay prizes.
Why won't the app install on my iPhone?
Check the minimum iOS: 15.1 for OLG, 15 for Loto-Québec and Lotto Spot!, 16 for Atlantic Lottery, 17 for BCLC Lotto!, 17.6 for Play Alberta. Otherwise, a lottery website such as OLG.ca or PlayNow.com is the fallback.
Play responsibly.
